Premier League table from games played in April
As April draws to a close, failed pranks reduced to fading memories and half-eaten Easter eggs left loose in the cupboard, the Premier League clicks into its final month.
England's top-flight table looked very different at the end of March; Arsenal enjoyed an eight-point lead at the Premier League summit, Tottenham had not yet lost the mysterious ability to end every weekend in fourth and Aston Villa were in the bottom half of the division.
30 minutes is an awfully long time in football and all manner of change and chaos can be wreaked across 30 days. Here's how the Premier League table would look from games contested in the pivotal month of April alone.

Newcastle United endured a February to forget - going winless in the Premier League and limply losing to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final but cantered into April on a swell of good form which took Eddie Howe's side to six wins from a possible seven games - the most of any club in the division during this period.
The Magpies were propelled to the top of this monthly table by an insatiable scoring streak. Averaging more than three goals per game (22 in seven), Newcastle boasted the top-scoring player in the division as Callum Wilson's eight goals even outweighed the freakish contribution of Erling Haaland (six).
However, Haaland's Manchester City were the only club to avoid defeat in April, winning all five of their matches as Pep Guardiola's side returned to the table's summit for the first time since February with a win over Fulham on the last day of the month.
Despite starting April with such a lofty lead, Arsenal slipped into second place by taking six points from five games, their lowest in a month since September 2022 - when the Gunners were only afforded two matches.
Arsenal have shipped 12 goals in April alone. Only once before in the Premier League era have the Gunners conceded more goals in a single month; letting in 14 across seven games in December 2018.
Unai Emery was in charge of Arsenal that month but has enjoyed a dramatic change of fortunes with Aston Villa across the previous 30 days. Manchester United curtailed Villa's ten-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday but Emery's side still boast the second-highest points tally this month.

As many as 41 players outscored Chelsea in the Premier League this April. Taking the lead - against the run of play - in a Premier League meeting with Brighton, Conor Gallagher’s wickedly deflected effort was the only goal Chelsea scored in April.
The Seagulls deservedly recovered to win 2-1, consigning the west London outfit to one of four league losses they have suffered this month. The Blues had won more Premier League matches in April than any other club in the history of the competition before this year’s Fool’s Day but failed to collect a single set of three points despite employing three different managers in April alone.
Leeds United have spent April showered by goals at the wrong end of the pitch. In the space of seven matches this month, Javi Gracia's side have conceded a whopping 23 goals - comfortably the most in the division during this bleak period for the Yorkshire side scrapping against relegation.
Tottenham are the next most porous side after suffering a new strain of incompetence in the opening exchanges of matches. Across the club's final three Premier League games in April, Spurs conceded seven goals in the first 15 minutes of each contest. They had only shipped six in this period of games across the first eight months of the season.
The relegation-threatened duo of Bournemouth and Crystal Palace would be vying for European qualification if the Premier League had begun on April Fool's Day. Steered to rich veins of form by two English managers at opposite ends of their careers, Gary O'Neil's Bournemouth and Roy Hodgson's Palace have practically guaranteed their Premier League survival thanks to a brilliant month of April
