Premier League team of the week - round 3

Five of the ten matches from gameweek three of the Premier League ended in a draw, but there was still plenty for us to get excited about.

Arsenal fans may want to look away as it's time for us to take a look back and reflect on the weekend's action and figure out which lucky players did enough to earn themselves a spot in 90min's team of the week.

Here's who made the cut.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

David de Gea (GK) - United would have been dead and buried against Wolves if it wasn't for De Gea. His double save to deny Romain Saiss was a real throwback to his prime.

Mason Holgate (CB) - Michael Keane is unlucky not to get the nod here, but Holgate was an absolute monster in Everton's win over Brighton. He led the game in aerial challenges, clearances and interceptions, earning a clean sheet in the process.

Andreas Christensen (CB) - After watching Reece James get sent off against Liverpool, Christensen went Super Saiyan. He did absolutely everything to ensure Chelsea earned a point.

Raphael Varane (CB) - Those who doubted Varane's ability to cope with the physicality of the Premier League have been pretty quiet ever since he breezed through the 1-0 win over Wolves.

2. Midfielders

Gabriel Jesus (RM) - Now apparently an elite winger, Jesus dropped another worldie performance as Man City demolished Arsenal. He offered up a goal and an assist and looks to be thriving out wide.

Conor Gallagher (CM) - Two straight man-of-the-match wins for Gallagher, who bagged two beautiful goals to earn Crystal Palace a point against West Ham.

Rodri (CM) - Helped by another moment of madness from Granit Xhaka, Rodri ran the midfield against Arsenal with real class. He prevented the Gunners from getting anything going and breezed through things once Xhaka was dismissed.

Demarai Gray (LM) - Did someone say bargain of the season? Gray was creating chances for fun against Brighton but ended up doing the hard work himself as he bagged his second of the season with a nice solo goal.

3. Forwards

Ferran Torres (RF) - Shifted out to the right side of a front three for this team, Torres had a dominant game as a central striker against Arsenal. He bagged two goals and an assist and completely tore the Gunners apart.

Michail Antonio (ST) - Keeping his permanent spot in the squad, Antonio added another goal and assist to his tally against Palace. He's now scored and created at least once in each of his last three games.

Son Heung-min (LF) - Son profited from some poor goalkeeping as his free-kick hit the back of the Watford net, but the winger continues to prove that he is ready to step up and lead Spurs if they need a new talisman.
