Gameweek 31 in the Premier League season felt like a rather important one.

Arsenal dropped points in the title race.

Leeds United continued to sink like a stone.

And Aston Villa proved themselves to be genuine top four contenders.

After all that fun, here's 90min's team of the week:

GK - Emiliano Martinez - The World Cup winner was once again in top form at the weekend, keeping a clean sheet against high-flying Newcastle United thanks to a few great saves.

RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold - It's fair to say that the 2022/23 season has been the worst of Alexander-Arnold's career thus far, but he did finally look back to his best on Monday night - bagging himself two assists in the 6-1 win over Leeds United.

CB - Lloyd Kelly - Tottenham were rancid on Saturday, but take nothing away from Lloyd Kelly's performance at the heart of Bournemouth's defence in the win in north London. He was great.

CB - Tyrone Mings - Perhaps the main beneficiary of Aston Villa's managerial change, Mings was once again superb at the weekend for Unai Emery's team.

LB - Diogo Dalot - An unlikely goalscorer for Manchester United on Sunday, Dalot has been at his best in recent weeks and helped a weakened United defence shut out Nottingham Forest.

CM - Bruno Fernandes - The Portuguese midfielder put in his best performance of the season in the win over Forest, just a week after starring against Everton at Old Trafford.

CM - Eberechi Eze - The most in-form midfielder in the Premier League right now? With three goals and two man of the match performances in his last three games, Eze might just be.

AM - Mohamed Salah - A brace for Salah against Leeds United took the Egyptian King up to nine goals in just six appearances against the Whites. Form that is finally justifying his mammoth contract last season.

AM - Jarrod Bowen - Where has this Jarrod Bowen been all season? The West Ham scored a stunning goal in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal and his boundless energy caused all sorts of problems.

ST - Ollie Watkins - 11 goals in his last 12 games. Two goals and an assist in the win over Newcastle United. It's Ollie Watkins' world and we're just living in it.

ST - Dominic Solanke - The ex-Liverpool man ran a rather hopeless Tottenham backline ragged on Saturday, scoring one and bagging two assists in the 3-2 win. What a performance just when Bournemouth needed it most.
