PSG 1-3 Lorient: Player ratings as Hakimi sees red in embarrassing defeat
Paris Saint-Germain suffered yet another embarrassing Ligue 1 defeat on Sunday evening, losing 3-1 to Lorient at Parc des Princes.
The home side went behind after 15 minutes thanks to an Enzo Le Fee goal, before Darline Yongwa and Ahmadou Bamba Dieng added a second and third after Achraf Hakimi was sent off for a second bookable offence.
PSG were made to pay for that missed chance in the 15th minute when Lorient took a shock lead through Enzo Le Fee. After some good play from Gedeon Kalulu and Romain Faivre on the right flank, the latter was able to drill the into the path of Le Fee just inside the penalty area. The French forward made no mistake with his subsequent effort on goal, sweeping the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the PSG goal.
Things went from bad to worse for the home side a few minutes later when Hakimi was given a second yellow card for a reckless challenge in the final third.
Despite going a man down, Kylian Mbappe was able to claw his side back into the game with an extraordinarily odd goal on the half hour mark.
Mbappe would tap into an empty net after Yvon Mvogo, thinking the referee had blown his whistle for some sort of infringement in the box, decided to roll the ball out in front of himself and Mbappe, who'd react quickly to score the leveller. As it turned out, the referee hadn't blown his whistle for any reason prior to Mvogo dropping the ball in his box and the goal would stand.
Not to be deterred by that bizarre goal, Lorient went straight up the other end five minutes later to nab their second and re-take the lead through Darline Yongwa. Once again the goal would come after some nice play down Lorient's right flank by Faivre who danced past Marco Verratti and Juan Bernat before crossing to the back post, where Yongwa was on hand to fire home.
Despite PSG having most of the ball in the second half, it was Lorient who'd come closest to scoring the next goal through Le Fee. The 23-year-old unleashed a brilliant curling effort from fully 25-yards out which had Donnarumma beaten all ends up, but would fly just wide of the right post.

They'd come close again in the 25th minute, when a stunning cross from Le Fee wizzed past a reckless rush off his line by Donnarumma and perfectly into the path of Ahmadou Bamba Dieng. The forward's resulting volleyed effort on goal, however, wasn't a particularly good one and flew overt the crossbar instead of nestling into the back of the net.
The visitors thought they scored their much deserved third goal in the 86th minute, when Dieng slid in to convert a Ayman Kari cross. Unfortunately for Dieng however, the goal was ruled out for offside after a lengthy VAR check.
Two minutes later, Dieng would get his goal. The substitute burst through on goal after PSG overcommitted in the final third, seeing his first effort on goal saved by Donnarumma before following up to tap home.
