PSG predicted lineup vs Angers - Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain will be keen to get back to winning ways this weekend after suffering their first Ligue 1 defeat prior to the international break.
Mauricio Pochettino's side were shocked by a Jeremy Doku-less Rennes a few weeks ago, losing 2-0 and failing to have a single shot on target throughout the whole game.
To get back on track, here's the team Poch should field on Friday evening.
PSG predicted lineup vs Angers - Ligue 1
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) - The Euro 2020 player of the tournament is set for a rare Ligue 1 start with Keylor Navas unavailable.
Achraf Hakimi (RB) - The best right-back in the world? Yeah, it's not really up for debate at this point.
Thilo Kehrer (CB) - Still only 25 years old, still not very good either. He'll start because Marquinhos is unavailable due to international commitments.
Presnel Kimpembe (CB) - Actually played quite well in France's Nations League final win during the international break.
Nuno Mendes (LB) - Has adapted to life at PSG exceptionally well. Is basically undroppable at this point; especially while Juan Bernat is still injured.
2. Midfielders
Marco Verratti (CM) - There are very, very, very few better midfielders in the world today. If PSG can keep Verratti fit, they could win it all this season.
Idrissa Gueye (CM) - He's 32 years old, but still has a serious engine on him and has started the season well.
Georginio Wijnaldum (CM) - Had a moan about his playing time over the international break, so will probably start this one.
3. Forwards
Kylian Mbappe (RW) - Was absolutely electric in the Nations League semi-final, but has been fairly terrible for PSG this season thus far. He needs to up his game at club level.
Mauro Icardi (ST) - One of the three billion footballers linked with a move to Newcastle, Icardi will start this one with Lionel Messi out due to international duty.
Rafinha (LW) - Like Messi, Neymar is unavailable for Friday's game, so Rafinha will get an extremely rare start against Angers.
