PSG predicted lineup vs Angers - Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain can all but tie up the Ligue 1 title on Wednesday night as they travel to face lower mid-table Angers.
A 2-1 victory over second-placed fierce rivals Marseille means PSG are now 15 points clear at the summit, and if they can follow that up with a win at Stade Raymond Kopa they could be crowned champions once again - as long as Les Phoceens fail to beat Nantes
Meanwhile, Angers are in indifferent form having slipped to 14th in the table, and could be dragged into a relegation battle if they don't start winning games soon.
It's a big night for Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to secure the first Ligue 1 title of his tenure in Paris having lost out to Lille in 2020/21.
Here's how he could set up his team...
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Keylor Navas (GK) - Gianluigi Donnarumma had a stinker at the weekend and Navas is fit again, so expect their weird job-share to continue here.
Achraf Hakimi (RB) - Wasn't at his best last time out - and hasn't been this season as a whole - but a guaranteed starter when fit and available.
Marquinhos (CB) - The skipper will start. Will hope to lead the defence to a first clean sheet in five league matches.
Sergio Ramos (CB) - A player who PSG signed for nights like this. His experience could be vital as they look to get themselves over the line.
Nuno Mendes (LB) - The young Portugal international excelled last time out and should continue here, although Pochettino may be tempted to rotate and bring in Juan Bernat.
2. Midfielders
Danilo Pereira (DM) - A functioning cog in what is a very defensive-looking midfield on paper under Pochettino.
Marco Verratti (CM) - Played a wonderful assist for Neymar in Le Classique and picked up his 13th booking of the season, which - to be honest - sums him up pretty well.
Idrissa Gueye (CM) - The former Everton man has generally been preferred to Leandro Paredes in midfield since PSG were thumped 3-0 by Monaco before the international break.
3. Forwards
Angel Di Maria (RW) - A timely return from injury with Neymar picking up a suspension against Marseille. He should slot in on the right flank.
Lionel Messi (CF) - Neymar's absence (no, it's not his sister's birthday) means the iconic Argentine may well be shifted centrally to float around between the lines as both an inevitable goal threat and a creator.
Kylian Mbappe (LW) - Scored again at the weekend and will be desperate to tie up a final Ligue 1 title if he is to leave the club in the summer as expected.
