Rangers 4-1 Celtic: Player ratings Steven Gerrard's side cruise to victory in Old Firm derby
Rangers recorded their biggest win over Celtic in 14 years as strikes from Kemar Roofe, Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe secured a comfortable victory over their depleted rivals.
The Hoops went into the game hoping to take the shine off Gers' dominant campaign, but it all seemed to be going awry when Roofe opened the scoring and the referee showed Callum McGregor a red card for a cynical foul in the build-up.
John Kennedy's team hit back through an Odsonne Edouard header but they were behind again before the break when Morelos fired a stunning effort past Scott Bain at his near post.
Bad became worse when Roofe got onto the end of a wonderful Borna Barisic cross to power in a header, and Defoe notched a late fourth to add some zest to the scoreline for Steven Gerrard's side.
Spare a thought for Scott Brown; it was the Celtic captain's final Old Firm derby as he prepares to leave for Aberdeen, and it could hardly have gone worse for the veteran.
Let's get into some player ratings!
RANGERS PLAYER RATINGS
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Allan McGregor (GK) - 7/10 - Denied Celtic with a couple of great stops in the first half but not much you wouldn't expect from the best keeper in Scotland. Such a shame he's retired from internationals.
James Tavernier (RB) - 6/10 - A little tentative again as he continues his recovery from injury but a steady performance from the captain.
Connor Goldson (CB) - 8/10 - Absolutely immovable at the heart of the Rangers back line. Doesn't get the same amount of plaudits as those around him but boy does he deserve it.
Jack Simpson (CB) - 6/10 - Picked up a needless first-half booking but otherwise looked comfortable in just his second Rangers start.
Borna Barisic (LB) - 7/10 - Bustling, energetic performance down the left flank. Defensively astute even if he lost out to James Forrest once or twice.
2. Midfielders
Joe Aribo (CM) - 6/10 - Tends to blow hot and cold in the big games and wasn't at his best here. Drove Rangers forward at times.
Steven Davis (CM) - 8/10 - Another understated but flawless performance from the veteran midfielder.
Glen Kamara (CM) - 7/10 - Shuttled between the boxes and helped Rangers comprehensively win the midfield battle.
3. Forwards
Kemar Roofe (RW) - 7/10 - Fortunate with his first goal but a wonderful run and header to double the advantage and put Rangers out of sight.
Alfredo Morelos (CF) - 7/10 - His derby woes are behind him now. Wonderful finish to put Rangers back in front.
Ryan Kent (LW) - 6/10 - Not at his very best but kept Jonjoe Kenny busy enough with his probing movement. Could have added a fourth late on.
4. Substitutes
Scott Wright (Barisic, 76) - 5/10
Ianis Hagi (Morelos, 84) - N/A
Jermain Defoe (Roofe, 86) - 6/10

CELTIC PLAYER RATINGS
6. Goalkeeper & defenders
Scott Bain (GK) - 6/10 - Might have done better with Morelos' strike but otherwise helpless to stop a comfortable Rangers win.
Jonjoe Kenny (RB) - 6/10 - The Everton loanee held his own for spells but Ryan Kent had the beating of him for the most part.
Stephen Welsh (CB) - 6/10 - Didn't do too much actively wrong, which was nice. Promising young defender who will have a major role to play next season.
Kristoffer Ajer (CB) - 5/10 - One or two big mistakes. Got caught under the ball for Rangers' third and left Roofe with a free header.
Greg Taylor (LB) - 5/10 - Really shaky at the back and didn't do much for Celtic on the ball.
7. Midfielders
Callum McGregor (CM) - 3/10 - Senseless foul in the build-up to Rangers' first goal left his team at an insurmountable disadvantage.
Scott Brown (CM) - 5/10 - Subbed off after an hour in his farewell Old Firm derby. One to forget for the captain.
David Turnbull (CAM) - 6/10 - Celtic's most creative threat but that wasn't saying much after a poor day at the office.
8. Forwards
James Forrest (RW) - 6/10 - Whipped in a few dangerous balls but clearly not match fit just yet. Off for Christie on the hour.
Odsonne Edouard (CF) - 5/10 - Nice header to equalise, but otherwise looked like the guy at work who has already handed in his two weeks' notice. Disinterested performance.
Mohamed Elyounoussi (LW) - 5/10 - Trickery caused a problem or two for Tavernier but not much came off for the Norwegian.
9. Substitutes
Ismaila Soro (Brown, 60) - 6/10
Ryan Christie (Forrest, 60) - 5/10
