Rangers team news
Aaron Ramsey's chronic injury issues have shown no sign of abating in Glasgow and Giovanni van Bronckhorst will hope to welcome the Welshman back into the team after playing only 94 minutes before breaking down with a muscle injury.
Filip Helander and Ryan Jack are expected to return for the Light Blues after missing the victory over St. Johnstone in midweek, although Man Utd loanee Amad Diallo could miss out again. Ianis Hagi has been ruled out for the season.
Aberdeen team news
Andy Considine is inching closer to a return for the Dons after sustaining a serious knee injury in their Europa Conference League qualifying clash with Qarabag back in August. His return would come at an ideal time given Adam Montgomery has been ruled out through injury.
Marley Watkins has also been missing since December with a foot injury, while Mikey Devlin is expected to return in the near future after being sidelined for the entirety of this season.
Rangers vs Aberdeen head-to-head record
There is no love lost between these two teams over the years, with Rangers not boasting a particularly strong record against the Dons in recent seasons.
Indeed, the Gers have been held on both ocassions they have met Aberdeen this season, with the 1-1 draw in January proving particularly costly for van Bronckhorst's side.
Rangers vs Aberdeen score prediction
The margin for error in the Scottish Premiership title is shrinking and Rangers' home form is going to prove critical during the run-in, especially after last weekend's disappointing 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Ibrox.
The potential return of Jack in midfield against his former employers will be a huge boost for the Gers, although Glen Kamara has staked a place for a more permanent inclusion after his goalscoring performance in Perth.
Van Bronckhorst's side have the chance to move level on points with Celtic at the summit of the table before the Hoops visit Livingston the following day and it is an opportunity they cannot afford to pass up.
Prediction: Rangers 2-0 Aberdeen
