Real Madrid welcome Atletico Madrid to the Bernabeu on Sunday keen to exact some justice after their recent Copa del Rey bout.

Diego Simeone's Rojiblancos eliminated Los Blancos from Spain's domestic cup competition with a 4-2 victory after extra time back in January, barely a week after the pair had duked it out in the Supercopa de Espana semi-final.

Carlo Ancelotti's side were the victors on that occasion and the Italian will want a similar result this weekend, with Girona still nagging away in second.

Here's the lineup he could pick for Sunday's Madrid derby.

GK: Andriy Lunin - Injuries to Thibaut Courtois and Kepa Arrizabalaga opened the goalkeeper spot for Lunin, who is now ahead of Kepa in the pecking order having started the last two La Liga games.

RB: Dani Carvajal - Is usually in the thick of the confrontations that often spill out in big Madrid games and this one will be no different.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - Has established himself as the most important centre-back under Ancelotti but is a fitness doubt after limping through the first half of the Getafe win. Eder Militao and David Alaba are already sidelined, while emergency option Aurelien Tchouameni is suspended.

CB: Nacho Fernandez - Club captain Nacho is another who gets fired up for derbies. Has been booked five times against Atleti but never sent off.

LB: Fran Garcia - Is yet to beat Atleti in his six career appearances against them but was sat on the bench for the 5-3 Supercopa de Espana semi-final victory in January.

CM: Federico Valverde - The Uruguayan workhorse remains close to undroppable for Ancelotti. Will be eyeing some improvement in the final third, having scored just once in the league compared to seven goals last season.

CM: Toni Kroos - While one veteran in Luka Modric seems to be creeping ever closer to the Bernabeu exit door, Kroos remains as trusted as ever. Has seven league assists this season, the joint-most in Spain alongside Girona teenager Sevio, and should come back into the team after a midweek break.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - Successfully navigated the tightrope of suspension in midweek where teammate Tchouameni couldn't.

AM: Jude Bellingham - Still leading the way for La Liga goals so far this season, though is now tied on 14 with Getafe's Borja Mayoral and Girona's Artem Dovbyk.

ST: Rodrygo - Is only beaten by Robert Lewandowski (3.1) in Spain with 2.9 shots a game, returning seven goals and four assists so far.

ST: Vinicius Junior - Was hooked in midweek despite clearly wanting to continue, with Ancelotti aware of the need to protect his most important players when possible.
