Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Barcelona - Copa del Rey
By Sean Walsh
Real Madrid welcome Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second time this season as they meet in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Los Blancos will host the first leg with the return fixture coming at Camp Nou at the start of April.
Carlo Ancelotti's men beat Barça in the season's first Clasico, but were beaten in the Supercopa de Espana in Saudi Arabia.
Here's who he could select to ensure Real Madrid are victorious again.
Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Barcelona - Copa del Rey
GK: Thibaut Courtois - Will undoubtedly have a chip on his shoulder after Emi Martinez won The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award for 2022.
RB: Dani Carvajal - Kind of good, kind of just Real Madrid's right-back by default nowadays.
CB: Eder Militao - Rarely been afforded a rest this season, but needs must.
CB: Antonio Rudiger - Set to enjoy more of a run at centre-back with David Alaba out injured.
LB: Nacho Fernandez - With Alaba and Ferland Mendy out, the versatile Nacho will fill in again at left-back.
DM: Aurelien Tchouameni - After a bout of flu and various muscle injuries, Tchouameni could play from the off on Thursday.
CM: Toni Kroos - His future beyond this season remains up in the air but Kroos remains important to Real Madrid.
CM: Luka Modric - Post-Champions League knockout game and award season is when Modric's stock is at its highest.
RW: Federico Valverde - Likely to return to the wing with Real's midfield options bolstered again but with Rodrygo out injured.
CF: Karim Benzema - Was understandably not happy to have lost out on The Best FIFA Men's Player award to Lionel Messi.
LW: Vinicius Junior - Surprisingly has only scored two goals in 11 games against Barcelona in his career.
