Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Braga - Champions League
- Real Madrid travel to Portugal for first time since 2016
- Madrid take on Braga hoping to secure three wins from three in Champions League this season
- Carlo Ancelotti has no fresh injury concerns
Real Madrid make their first trip to Portugal since 2016 as they take on Braga in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have made a strong start to the season across the board, although they were held by Sevilla in La Liga at the weekend.
In Europe, Madrid have started with two wins from two with their most recent victory in Naples leaving them in a very strong position in Group C. However, a tricky contest awaits against an in-form Braga side that typically don't succumb on home soil.
Here's how Ancelotti could set his Madrid side up on Tuesday night.
Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Braga (4-3-1-2)
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - Kepa's a shoo-in with Thibaut Courtois nursing a long-term knee injury.
RB: Dani Carvajal - The right-back was an unlikely goalscorer on Saturday as he rescued a point for Madrid. Carvajal has enjoyed an excellent start to the season.
CB: Antonio Rudiger - Ancelotti doesn't have an array of centre-back options to choose from, and Rudiger is a sure bet to retain his place.
CB: David Alaba - Nacho Fernandez is available on Tuesday as he serves his three-game domestic suspension, but the Spaniard's indifferent form means Alaba should get the nod again.
LB: Eduardo Camavinga - Camavinga is finding it tough to earn regular midfield minutes, so Ancelotti, as he often has, could deploy the Frenchman at left-back against Braga.
DM: Aurelien Tchouameni - The French international has taken his game to another level at the start of the new season and will continue to hold down the fort at the base of Madrid's midfield.
CM: Luka Modric - With Toni Kroos getting through a full 90 on Saturday, Ancelotti could rotate the German out and replace him with his longtime midfield companion.
CM: Federico Valverde - The three-lunged Uruguayan simply doesn't need a rest. He is indefatigable.
AM: Jude Bellingham - VAR intervention prevented Bellingham from continuing his scoring streak in Seville, so he'll be keen to return to the scoresheet on Tuesday after netting in both of Madrid's Champions League outings.
ST: Rodrygo - We're yet to see the best of Rodrygo in 2023/24 and Ancelotti could bring Joselu in. It's a toss-up between the two.
ST: Vinicius Jr - The Brazilian will be expected to play plenty after he returned from injury. Vinicius has started Madrid's last four outings, and he should earn a fifth consecutive start on Tuesday. He opened his Champions League account on Matchday 2 against Napoli.
