Carlo Ancelotti will demand a response from his Real Madrid side when they take on Las Palmas on Wednesday.

Madrid's perfect start to the season came to an abrupt end at the weekend when they fell to derby rivals Atletico but they'll fancy their chances of returning to winning ways against Las Palmas, who are back in the top flight after five seasons away.

Here's how the boss could set up for this one.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Las Palmas (4-1-2-1-2)

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - Kepa didn't cover himself in glory last time out and fans are already demanding more from the Chelsea loanee.

RB: Lucas Vazquez - Concerns over a muscle injury to Dani Carvajal could see Vazquez keep his place.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - Rudiger had a tough battle up against Alvaro Morata last time out but likely won't be as busy against a Las Palmas side who have scored just two goals all season.

CB: David Alaba - Alaba may get the chance to venture further forward as Madrid will likely dominate possession.

LB: Fran Garcia - While Ferland Mendy's defensive abilities may be called upon in future, a game like this calls for the attacking qualities of Garcia.

DM: Aurelien Tchouameni - After dropping to the bench against Atletico, expect Tchouameni to return to the starting lineup.

CM: Luka Modric - Modric was hooked at half-time last time out, which means he should still have the energy in his ageing legs to get another outing here.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - Federico Valverde was the only midfielder to play 90 minutes against Atletico so a rest could be on the cards.

AM: Jude Bellingham - Bellingham's electric start to the season came to a sudden stop in the derby and he'll have to be on top form to get through a stubborn Las Palmas defence.

ST: Rodrygo - Still trying to get used to life as a striker in this formation, but Rodrygo has the quality to make a difference here. He may be sacrificed to give minutes to the returning Vinicius Junior later in the game.

ST: Joselu - Las Palmas' deep defence may require Joselu's physicality to unlock. This may not be a pretty game, which is exactly what the striker is looking for.
