Reigning European champions Real Madrid head to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday looking to book a spot in the Champions League final.

A glorious Vinicius Junior goal was controversially cancelled out by Kevin De Bruyne in the first leg, leaving the two teams tied up heading into this straight fight for a spot in the finale.

Real Madrid had to watch Barcelona celebrate winning La Liga on Sunday, but a victory here would go a long way to easing the pain and reminding their Clasico rivals of the current hierarchy in Europe's premier competition.

Here's how Carlo Ancelotti could set up for this one.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Man City (4-3-3)

GK: Thibaut Courtois - The Belgian has five clean sheets in the Champions League this season but faces a battle to catch Inter's Andre Onana, who has managed seven already.

RB: Dani Carvajal - Carvajal, who is back from a domestic suspension, will need all his experience if he is to keep an in-form Riyad Mahrez at bay.

CB: Eder Militao - After missing the first leg through suspension, Militao's return to the team is an enormous boost.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - His s**thousery against Erling Haaland was sensational and more of that will be needed in this second leg.

LB: David Alaba - Reports suggest Ancelotti could favour the traditional defending of Alaba at left-back for this game.

DM: Toni Kroos - A mesmeric performance from the first leg, Kroos could play a deciding role once again.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - Too good to leave out right now, Camavinga is reportedly set for a return to his native midfield role.

CM: Luka Modric - The classy Modric also shone in the first leg and will expect to cause more problems for City's midfield.

RW: Federico Valverde - Ancelotti loves turning to Valverde for this inverted winger role on the biggest stage, and they don't come a whole lot bigger than this.

ST: Karim Benzema - Benzema could be lining up opposite his long-term replacement, and he'll be keen to leave his mark on Haaland.

LW: Vinicius Junior - Perhaps the best winger in the world right now, Vinicius was excellent in the first game and Guardiola will have had sleepless nights thinking about how to prevent another masterclass from the Brazilian.
