Real Madrid unveil new Bernabeu-inspired third kit for 2022/23 season
By Tom Gott
Real Madrid have revealed their all-new third kit for the 2022/23 campaign, drawing inspiration from the modernised Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Work on the famous stadium began in 2019 and is due to be completed in 2023, with a huge new complex featuring restaurants, shopping centres and numerous other tourist attractions planned to make the new Bernabeu a major tourist attraction all year round.
That modernity has been channelled into the new third kit, which comprises a black base and lime yellow metallic details which are designed to replicate the bright lights of the new stadium which will shine around Madrid.
The shirt also features a subtle pattern inspired by the roof cover of the new stadium.
Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth bring you Talking Transfers, discussing Erik ten Hag wanting to sign five players before the transfer window closes, and Man Utd's attitude to selling Cristiano Ronaldo. Available on all audio platforms and the 90min YouTube channel.

Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas said: “When Real Madrid step into their stadium, anything can happen.
"With the new, futuristic Santiago Bernabeu set to open its doors later this season, we drew inspiration from its modern design and architecture to produce a kit that lives up to – and reflects – a current and future champion mentality.”
The shirt will make its debut during Saturday's away match against Celta Vigo and will be available in both club and adidas stores from 12 September.
