Roy Keane reignites feud with 'spoilt brat' Erling Haaland

Roy Keane has reignited his war of words with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who he labelled a "spoilt brat" after the 5-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Keane had previously compared Haaland's all-round play to that of a 'League Two player', before later improving his opinion to a 'Championship player'.

After scoring four goals in City's win over Wolves, Haaland brutally shut down Keane by insisting: "I don't really care about that man."

That wasn't the end of the pair's feud, however, as Keane once again took aim at Haaland during his appearance on Sky Sports on Sunday, with the former Manchester United star blasting the Norwegian for his frustrated response to being substituted during the game.

"We saw Haaland yesterday being brought off not too happy, behaving like a spoilt brat," said Keane. "But because they win the game, he scores goals, it's almost forgotten about."

Asked whether scoring four goals makes Haaland's behaviour forgiveable, a frustrated Keane responded: "No, not really."

City boss Pep Guardiola was keen to defend Haaland's actions after the game, insisting the striker was simply frustrated with a perceived lack of protection from the referee.

"There were a lot of long balls into the channels where he won the position and was being pulled by the opponent and it was never [given as] a foul," explained Guardiola. "When he's level with the shoulders I can understand but sometimes he won the position and was being pulled.

"He went down and sometimes it was no foul [given]. It happens every game a lot of times. He was just a bit frustrated for these actions but I can guarantee how happy he was today."

Guardiola added: "Erling is back to business. Penalties are a guarantee but the second and fourth [goals] were unbelievable. To come back to his best form, he needs time."
