The Spaniard secured a couple of seemingly huge wins during his time in West Yorkshire, but he had overseen a five-game winless run at a crucial point of the campaign. An abject 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth on the south coast proved to be the final straw.
Allardyce has built a reputation for keeping teams in the top flight, but the 68-year-old, who will be taking charge of his ninth Premier League club, has his work cut out if he's to preserve Leeds' status.

Leeds' bid for survival is destined to go down to the final day when they play host to Ryan Mason's Tottenham.
