Sami Khedira Insists He's Happy at Juventus & Has No Plans to Leave

Sami Khedira, who is into the last 12 months of his Juventus contract, has insisted that he sees no reason to leave the club.
The Germany international, who moved to Turin in 2015, has played a total of 144 times for I Bianconeri, but has often found intense competition for places restrict the amount of games he plays in succession - as well as various injury problems.
There had been rumours that Khedira could be swept off elsewhere, but speaking on his Instagram, he confirmed that he has no intention of moving on.
"My contract with Juventus expires in 2021. I feel very good in Italy and in the team. I have found a very strong team and I am still hungry to win many titles," Khedira said.
“Now I have more confidence in my body and therefore I see no reason to change team. I am very happy at Juventus and in Turin."
The 33-year-old has picked up four Scudettos since he ditched Real Madrid, and could be on course for a fifth now that Italian football is set to resume on 20 June.
Juventus currently lead surprise challengers Lazio by a solitary point, with both clubs pulling away from early frontrunners Inter before play was suspended. Antonio Conte's Nerazzurri are nine points off the pace, and barring a dramatic collapse from Juve, are likely to be out of the running.
As for Khedira, he has been a peripheral figure in La Vecchia Signora's latest title charge, but has still made 12 appearances in Serie A. The likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Miralem Pjanic provide stiff competition for a place in the side, but his experience has proved valuable to Maurizio Sarri on occasions - as the Italian manager seeks to win his first domestic title.
His plan to stay will only be disrupted if Juventus find the right buyer and the ball is taken out of Khedira's court - but it's likely that his contract will wind down, allowing him to seek pastures new next summer.
