6 Arsenal players tipped to receive transfer interest this summer

Arsenal could receive interest in Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and others as they focus on signing a new centre-forward, according to a new report.

The Gunners have been in breathtaking goalscoring form of late, scoring six against West Ham United, five against Burnley and four against Newcastle United in February, and have propelled themselves into a three-way fight for the Premier League title.

Bukayo Saka has led from the front, scoring seven times in his last five Premier League games, but there have also been meaningful contributions from the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz.

90min revealed on Thursday that Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres is a player of interest to Arsenal, while Borussia Dortmund's Donyell Malen has expressed an interest in heading to the Emirates Stadium.

The Athletic note that Arsenal are also interested in Benjamin Sesko, Evan Ferguson and Pedro Neto, but to facilitate expensive incomings, they will likely need to sanction exits too.

Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah are tipped to be in the crosshairs of other clubs looking to strengthen their own squads, with all of those listed either on the fringes of Mikel Arteta's first team or out on loan.

The Gunners will need to ensure they balance their books in order to comply with UEFA's financial fair play regulations and the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules (PSR), and that could lead to considerable turnover in north London.

Arsenal haven't been shy of spending during Arteta's reign, with sporting director Edu working closely with the club's ownership to pull off several big-money signings. Declan Rice arrived for £105m last summer - a record fee for a British player - and Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber also arrived for a combined fee over £90m.

Arteta: Kiwior has impressed

Speaking to reporters at his latest pre-match press conference, Arsenal boss Arteta spoke of the ongoing development of Jakub Kiwior after his integration into the side thanks to an injury sustained by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

"We made a decision to bring him in earlier, because we believed that whichever player we were going to sign to have the role that he had to have was going to need time, and that was the case," Arteta said of the Polish international.

"And we have made it difficult for him for two reasons: One, because he hasn’t played that many minutes, and the second one because we asked him to play in a position that he’s never played in before. So it’s like putting William Saliba as a full-back, and saying, 'There we go, tomorrow go and perform and do what we have to do!'

"And I think he’s adapted really well, I think he’s playing better and better, you can tell that he’s earning confidence and physically he’s better, he understands the role much better and he’s been really good."
