Spain predicted lineup vs France - Nations League
Spain are set to face France in the 2021 UEFA Nations League final on Sunday, after beating Euro 2020 winners Italy in the semi-finals.
A first-half brace from Manchester City man Ferran Torres proved the difference at San Siro on Wednesday evening, as Luis Enrique's men held on to a 2-1 lead to qualify for their first ever Nations League final (yes, there have only been two...but still).
And here's how Spain should line up for said final this weekend:
Spain predicted lineup vs France - Nations League
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Unai Simon (GK) - The first choice ahead of David De Gea, Simon has been solid for Spain ever since he won the number one jersey.
Cesar Azpilicueta (RB) - Fresh off the back of his Ballon d'Or nomination, Azpi is a cert to start the final.
Aymeric Laporte (CB) - He's back in the Man City starting XI and back in fine form.
Pau Torres (CB) - The Villarreal man is Enrique's first choice to partner Laporte.
Marcos Alonso (LB) - In one of his 'can't stop scoring for some reason' phases right now. It'll pass, but still, start him while the going is good.
2. Midfielders
Koke (CM) - Can do absolutely everything, and is always puts in at least a 7/10 performance every time he plays. Quality.
Sergio Busquets (CM) - Played really well on Wednesday evening; although those great performances are becoming fewer and farer between as he gets older.
Gavi (CM) - Yep, he really is only 17 years old. And yep, he is already a full Spain international and a bonafide world beater.
3. Forwards
Bryan Gil (RW) - The Tottenham man should replace Pablo Sarabia in the lineup after a decent cameo on Wednesday.
Ferran Torres (ST) - The youngster bagged two against Italy, and will be Spain's main goal threat on Sunday too.
Mikel Oyazabal (LW) - A quality player, the winger will cause France all sorts of problems.
