The baby-faced midfielder Cameron MacPherson is inching towards a return from a hamstring injury he suffered seven minutes into St Johnstone's 4-0 loss to Rangers in mid-August.

Chris Kane has been sidelined since January with damage to his knee cartilage. The striker isn't expected to return until mid-October, a similar timescale to Callum Booth's recovery from an Achilles tendon problem.
