Television picks for opening weekend of 2023/24 Premier League season confirmed

With the Premier League fixture list being announced on Thursday morning, many fans will now be making their plans for the opening weekend.
While kick-off times for all 38 gameweeks are not yet confirmed, the first weekend of action is set in stone as the likes of Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime scrap for coverage of England's top flight throughout 2023/24.
Here are all the details you need to plan a great weekend of Premier League action in front of the television.
2023/24 Premier League opening weekend fixtures
The fixture computer has thrown up some very interesting games for the opening weekend of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Champions Manchester City will be away at Vincent Kompany's Burnley to start with, while Ange Postecoglou has got a tough start to life at Tottenham away at Brentford.
The biggest game of the opening weekend sees Liverpool travel south to take on Chelsea. There will be a lot of mystery around the Blues given how bad they were last season, and the fact they have Mauricio Pochettino in charge and an undoubtedly talented squad.

Which Premier League opening weekend games are on TV?
An incredible six of the ten games will be available to watch on television in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the opening weekend, spanning from Friday through until Monday. It is only the 15:00 BST games on Saturday that you will not be able to watch.
The TV coverage of the Premier League season will get underway with Burnley up against Manchester City at Turf Moor on the Friday night. That will be followed by the lunchtime game of Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
There is a 17:30 match on television on Saturday evening, before a doubleheader on Sunday at 14:00 and 16:30. The televised games come to a close on Monday night when Manchester United eventually get their season underway against Wolves at Old Trafford.
