The best dribblers in EA Sports FC 24

A new dawn beckons for the virtual footballing world.

EA Sports' FIFA has, for so long, dominated the market, but a licensing fee dispute means there will be no FIFA 24, but an EA Sports FC 24.

Despite the change, gamers should find, minus a few tweaks and upgrades, that there really isn't too much difference between EA Sports' latest iteration and previous editions. The new release includes the hugely popular Ultimate Team game mode (which now includes female players), with EA releasing player ratings ahead of the game's official launch on 29 September.

10. Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid)

The Brazilian is a frightening prospect for opposing defenders given his combination of electric speed and samba silk.

Vinicius Jr has the ability to bypass opponents with a stunning turn of pace or outfox them with dribbling sequences synonymous with Brazilian wingers.

While Dybala has never been the most athletic, he's a master craftsman between the lines.

The Argentine has been one of the most aesthetic performers around since his Palermo emergence, with his low sock swagger and ring tattoos adding to his mystique. Dybala is constantly tasked with outmanoeuvring opponents in central positions, with his capacity to weave through tight spaces ensuring he so often does so.

8. Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona Femini)

Tipped for plenty of individual success after an excellent 2023, Bonmati has established herself as, arguably, the best women's footballer in the world.

The Barcelona and Spain midfielder is so resistant to opposition pressure and a keen driver with the ball when space opens up in the middle of the park.

7. Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich)

A next-gen phenom, Musiala has already reached superstar status in Bavaria. While he perhaps doesn't boast the sleekness or aesthetics of some of his peers, Musiala is a mighty efficient dribbler.

The wily midfielder is so tough to slow down in full cry. He can carry superbly over larger distances and is equally brilliant at bypassing hopeful tacklers in tighter spots.

6. Debinha (Kansas City Current)

Debinha certainly isn't a shy customer in possession, and we saw some of her best work at the 2023 World Cup.

The Brazilian superstar, who's taken to dribbling like a fish to water, is poised to take the mantle from Marta and emerge as Brazil's leading female star.

5. Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain)

Similar to Vinicius, Mbappe is revered for his demonic speed just as much as he is for his dribbling. Despite the Frenchman's status as one of the very best in the world, he arguably isn't the most refined dribbler and tends to beat opponents with speed as opposed to guile.

Nevertheless, there is some variance to his play in one-on-one situations up against fearful opponents, with EA Sports awarding him a huge 92 dribbling rating.

4. Alexia Putellas (Barcelona Femini)

Dribbling rating: 92

Injuries may have thwarted her 2023, but Putellas is a two-time Ballon d'Or Feminin winner and is the highest-rated female player in the game (91).

Sitting among her most impressive attributes is her dribbling, which is rated at 92.

3. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

A masterful ball manipulator, there may not be a better performer than Bernardo Silva in tight spaces.

It's a testament to his supreme dribbling ability that he can constantly beat opponents, whether it be out wide or in a more central position, given his diminutive frame. He's an absolute genius and will be a real handful on EAFC 24.

2. Neymar (Al Hilal)

How could he not be included? While Neymar has somewhat thrust himself out of the limelight by departing Paris for Al Hilal, the Brazilian will remain a popular option for Ultimate Team users as a result of his 93 dribbling rating and five-star skill moves.

Neymar is the ultimate entertainer. There isn't a dribble he can't complete, nor a skill he can't master.

1. Lionel Messi

Dribbling rating: 94

While he eventually evolved into an all-time great passer and playmaker, Messi and his flowing locks burst onto the scene at Barcelona as a supreme dribbler.

The Argentine never lost his majestic gift despite his evolution, and his overwhelmingly brilliant and diverse skill set means he's regarded by the majority as the most talented player to ever play the game. At 36, he may have lost a step or two, but his exploits at the 2022 World Cup proved he can still outfox and befuddle the very best defenders the sport has to offer.

His 94 dribbling rating is the highest in the game.
