With so many to choose from, here are our best goals of matchday two...
5. Lionel Messi (vs. Atlanta United)
Lionel Messi, once again.
The player wasted no time in getting comfortable with Inter Miami, connecting with Robert Taylor to steal the show against Atlanta United. Though nothing like his free-kick against Cruz Azul, Messi asserted his dominance by opening up the scoring in the eighth minute of the match.
He truly is unstoppable.

4. Kevin Alvarez (vs. St. Louis CITY)
Kevin Alvarez celebrated his first goal with the Liga MX giants on Friday when sending the ball into the opposite corner past Roman Burki. The cheeky little goal stood as the team’s third, before eventually triumphing 4-0 over the Western Conference leaders.
There’s no stopping the Eagles.
3. Brandon Vazquez (vs. Chivas)
After rejecting a bid to join the Liga MX team, Brandon Vazquez decided to score against them. The player managed a hat-trick against Chivas, but his first goal earned a place on our best goals of the match day.
A phenomenal way to open up the scoring, connecting with Aaron Boupendza to reach the right corner of the goal.
2. Alton Garcia (vs. Austin FC)
Take a bow, Alton!
Juarez triumphed 3-1 over the Major League Soccer team to make themselves known as a true competitor in the 2023 edition of Leagues Cup. Garcia scored twice to secure the team’s place in the round of 32, but it was his second strike in the 62nd minute that made it to our list.
Despite goalkeeper Brad Stuver’s efforts, nothing could stop that right-footed volley from reaching the back of the net.
1. Mauricio Pereyra (vs. Santos Laguna)
A stunning strike by the Orlando City player!
It was a chaotic first meeting between Orlando and Santos Laguna, culminating in a thrilling 3-2 victory by the Major League Soccer side to earn a spot in the next round of the tournament. Pereyra’s rocket may not have been the winning goal that secured the second-place slot in Group L, but it was certainly the one to watch.
