Week 10 of the 2022 Major League Soccer season did not disappoint.

Ronaldo Cisneros bagged his first ever league hat trick, while Taxi Fountas stunned once again, scoring two more goals for D.C. United to seal the victory against the Houston Dynamo. But it was Julian Carranza who topped the list this week, netting a fantastic goal to manage the 2-2 draw against a daunting LAFC.

Here’s all you need to know about this week’s edition…

5. Brooks Lennon (vs. Chicago Fire)

Brooks Lennon is thriving.

The defender scored his second goal of the season in the 4-1 victory over the Chicago Fire, complementing Ronaldo Cisnero’s hat trick to bring home the three points. Lennon capitalized on the extra time given, managing the 91st minute goal with a left footed shot from the right side of the box.

The win moves Atlanta United to seventh place on the Eastern Conference table.

4. DeJuan Jones (vs. Columbus Crew)

Despite their best efforts, the New England Revolution only managed a 2-2 home draw against the Columbus Crew.

DeJuan Jones tried his best to get the win, scoring a 70th minute goal. Emmanuel Boateng supplied a stunning cross, inspiring the player to net the shot into the center of the goal.

With the point, New England stands in 10th place on the Eastern Conference table.

3. Ronaldo Cisneros (vs. Chicago Fire)

Ronaldo Cisneros sealed his first Major League Soccer hat trick against the Chicago Fire on Saturday.

While his second and third secured the victory, it was his first goal of the match that earns a place on this list. Cisneros scored in the opening three minutes of the match, connecting with Luis Araujo for a quick right footed shot into the center of the goal.

“I feel very happy, especially for the team’s victory. Obviously the three goals make me feel happy. We came from three previous matches without a victory, so for me the most important thing today is the victory and the three points,” he said after the match.

2. Taxi Fountas (vs. Houston Dynamo)

Taxi Fountas does it again. He’s hit the ground running since joining D.C. United from Austria’s Rapid Vienna.

The player has scored four goals in just four appearances, most recently netting two goals to secure the 2-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo.

But it’s his first that stunned. The player found Julian Gressel’s corner kick to complete the right footed shot from just outside the box and into the top left corner, leaving Dynamo goalkeeper Steve Clark rooted in his spot.

1. Julian Carranza (vs. LAFC)

And at the top of the list: Julian Carranza.

The Philadelphia Union player made sure LAFC were always chasing. Despite the 2-2 end result, Carranza attempted the win until the last minute of the match.

The forward scored the third goal of the match, a 67th minute left footed strike from the center of the box. It was Carranza’s fourth goal of the season.
