The Premier League throws up majestic storylines each and every week, but when all is said and done, fans want one thing; goals.
League giants like Manchester United and Liverpool have enjoyed emphatic wins against minnows over the years, placing themselves in the record books for the highest-scoring Premier League games in history.
Here's who holds that record as well as some of the biggest winning margins in top flight history.
Games with the most goals in Premier League history
The highest-scoring Premier League game took place in 2007 as Portsmouth beat Reading 7-4 at Fratton Park. One of the most chaotic games in the competition's history, six goals were scored in the final 20 minutes - including two in stoppage time - while there was also an own goal and Benjani hat trick.
No other games has ever seen 11 goals, although there have been five Premier League matches in which the net has bulged ten times.
Reading were on the wrong end of another high-scoring affair two seasons later, this time losing 6-4 at Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs were also involved in another ten-goal clash when they hammered a woeful Wigan Athletic 9-1 in 2009, Jermaine Defoe scoring five times in the second half.
Manchester United have been involved in two separate ten-goal affairs, the most memorable being an 8-2 thrashing of Arsenal at Old Trafford. The Red Devils also drew 5-5 with West Bromwich Albion in Sir Alex Ferguson's final game in charge of the club.
Exactly five years after Tottenham's victory over Reading, Arsenal beat Newcastle United 7-3 at the Emirates Stadium, with Theo Walcott netting a hat-trick and Olivier Giroud bagging a brace for the Gunners.

Highest winning margin in Premier League history
The highest winning margin in Premier League history is nine goals, with Southampton having twice come close to shipping double digits in the top flight.
Southampton first lost 9-0 in October 2019 when Leicester City came to town. Ryan Bertrand was sent off with the Foxes already 1-0 up and the visitors went on to rattle in eight more, including hat-tricks from both Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez.
Just over a year later in early 2021, it was another early dismissal that triggered an enormous collapse from Southampton. Alexandre Jankewitz was sent off within two minutes of his first Premier League start as Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes ran riot at Old Trafford.
9-0 defeats for the Saints matched the record set by Manchester United when they hammered Ipswich Town by the same scoreline during the 1994/95 season. Andy Cole became the first player in Premier League history to score five times during the mauling at Old Trafford.
Liverpool also put nine unanswered goals past Bournemouth during the 2022/23 season, with Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino both bagging doubles. Somehow, the ruthless Mohamed Salah walked away without a goal or an assist from the encounter at Anfield despite playing the entire match.
Plenty of games have finished with eight-goal margins, including Tottenham's aforementioned 9-1 thrashing of Wigan. Newcastle United have beat both Sheffield sides 8-0 in the Premier League era, while Chelsea also won by that scoreline twice between 2010 and 2012.
