Rangers travel to Motherwell on Sunday, looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

Steven Gerrard's men have been in fine form so far, winning eight out of ten fixtures in all competitions, scoring 26 and conceding just two. The longer they continue this streak, the more likely they are to putting an end to Celtic's nine-year reign as Scottish champions.

Their next fixture is against a side who have made a mixed start to life. Motherwell lost 3-0 last time out against Hapoel Be'er Sheva, but had won the three games prior. They currently sit eighth in the league, having scored just six times.

Here is the XI that Gerrard could name to face Motherwell.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Jon McLaughlin (GK) - The summer recruit has generally been preferred to fan-favourite Allan McGregor this season, and will likely return after being rested.

James Tavernier (RB) - The Englishman hit his 50th goal for the Teddy Bears on Thursday. Not bad for a right-back.

Connor Goldson (CB) - The former Brighton man has been instrumental in the Gerrard's side this term, playing every minute so far.

Filip Helander (CB) - The Swede was one of three defenders to score against Willem II in mid-week, heading in from Ryan Kent's cross.

Borna Barisic (LB) - Barisic has started every game this season, and there is no reason why the Croatian will be dropped.

2. Midfielders

Steven Davis (CM) - The Northern Ireland international is just four appearances off hitting the 200 mark for the Gers in the league. In the previous 196, he's scored 18 times.

Glen Kamara (CM) - The former Arsenal midfielder has started every league game since Ryan Jack's injury against Dundee United. With Jack still sidelined, the Finland international should keep his place.

Scott Arfield (CM) - Arfield has been in and out of the team this season, but he scored in his last appearance, so should remain in the starting XI.

3. Forwards

Ianis Hagi (RW) - The Romanian has played centrally and on both wings this season, but will probably start on the right on Sunday. Hagi is joint-top of the Scottish Premiership assist charts with three.

Alfredo Morelos (ST) - Often as crazy as he is clinical, Morelos has hit 64 goals since the start of the 2018/19 season, despite missing several games through suspension.

Ryan Kent (LW) - A FIFA 20 favourite, the Liverpool academy graduate has made a strong start to the new season, scoring five and assisting two in all competitions.
