- There is another round of Premier League fixtures midweek as the season comes to a close
- Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all in action in the title race
- The relegation battle is heating up with difficult games for Sheffield United and Luton
As the Premier League draws to a close, each fixture grows in significance.
We have another round of action in the English top flight midweek as all 20 sides take to the field during Gameweek 31, with some hugely important clashes taking place at both ends of the table.
The title race could take yet another twist with Liverpool now leading the pack, while the three newly-promoted sides are facing a return to the English second division if they can't find some form.
With another huge few days of action, here are some top pundit predictions for Gameweek 31 in the Premier League.
Tuesday 2 April
With Premier League matches spread across three days, five games take place on Tuesday. One of those is a big London derby between West Ham United and Tottenham, with pundits foreseeing goals in a game that is crucial to Spurs' top four hopes.
Jamie Carragher has predicted a narrow 2-1 win for the Lilywhites, while Paul Merson has suggested that the Irons will triumph by the same scoreline - as they did in the reverse fixture in December. Neutrals will be hoping that Chris Sutton's prediction of a 3-2 win for Spurs will come good in Tuesday's most appetising clash.
Newcastle United also host Everton in what is a vital clash for the Toffees as they aim to avoid relegation, with Sutton backing Sean Dyche's side to secure a 2-1 win at St James' Park. However, both Carragher and Merson think the Magpies will come out on top, although they back Everton to get on the scoresheet on Tyneside.
Merson is fancying a goal-fest between Nottingham Forest and Fulham with a bold 2-2 prediction for the match at the City Ground. Despite the former being desperate for a win in their relegation fight, both Carragher and Sutton have backed the 1-1 draw.
Merson and Sutton are in agreement that Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace will finish 2-1 to the hosts, while the former Arsenal midfielder thinks that Burnley will manage what would be a massive 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wednesday 3 April
While there are only three matches on Wednesday, there could be some crucial outcomes in the title fight. Arsenal play host to Luton Town, who they beat 4-3 in a thriller back in December, but not many pundits are giving Rob Edwards' side a chance at the Emirates Stadium.
Both Carragher and Sutton have gone for 3-0 victories for the Gunners against the injury-hit Hatters, while Merson thinks his old side will put four unanswered goals past the team currently placed 18th in the table.
Manchester City are also in action on Wednesday when they host Aston Villa, and all three pundits are backing the reigning champions to get back to winning ways. Carragher has plumped for a 2-0 scoreline, while Merson also thinks that Pep Guardiola's side will keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win. Sutton believes the match will finish 2-1 to the hosts, despite the fact that Villa won the reverse fixture.
Brentford also face Brighton in the least glamorous of Wednesday's matches, with both Sutton and Merson supporting a 2-1 win for the hosts. However, Carragher has backed the visitors to get something from west London, albeit just a 1-1 draw.
Thursday 4 April
Liverpool are involved in the slightly earlier evening kick-off on Thursday and the pundits all agree that they will ease to victory against bottom of the table Sheffield United. Merson has gone for a 3-0 win for the Reds, while Sutton is anticipating a 5-0 thrashing of the Blades.
Chelsea welcome fellow underperformers Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Thursday as well, with both sides desperate for a little relief following disappointing weekend draws. The inconsistencies of the two teams make predicting the outcome incredibly tough, but Sutton and Merson have both settled on a 2-1 win for Chelsea.
