Tottenham Hotspur came crashing down to earth on Monday night as key stars were injured and defenders sent off in their 4-1 loss to Chelsea.

Dejan Kulusevski's deflected opener was the perfect start for Spurs against former manager Mauricio Pochettino and the Blues but moments of madness from Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie saw them reduced to nine players.

Micky van de Ven pulled up sharply while James Maddison also came off as manager Ange Postecoglou unsuccessfully attempted to "have a go".

With a number of potential absentees, here's the starting XI Tottenham may go with at Molineux.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario - Turned into a sweeper-keeper extraordinaire on Monday night, miraculously keeping Spurs level before Nicolas Jackson eventually found his clinical edge from a few yards out.

RB: Pedro Porro - Likely to be the only retained defender from Monday night, Porro won't have the pace of Romero and Van de Ven behind him so the Spaniard will need to be more switched on in defence.

CB: Eric Dier - Made his first league appearance of the season against Chelsea and nearly got on the scoresheet. His days at Spurs are numbered but Postecoglou needs Dier with both starting centre-backs out.

CB: Ben Davies - Wales international Davies has received the all clear from his own injury and should partner Dier with Van de Ven sidelined for months.

LB: Emerson Royal - Emerson has largely filled in well when called upon from the bench but will be needed on the opposite flank on his second league start of the season.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr - Got the assist for Kulusevski's deflected strike before things went south for Spurs. His box-to-box threat will take on more importance with Maddison not fit.

CM: Yves Bissouma - Remains a booking away from a one-game suspension, which would be incredibly untimely with Spurs' sudden spate of important absentees.

RW: Dejan Kulusevski - Now has more Premier League goals this season (three) than he managed last term (two).

AM: Giovani Lo Celso - With Maddison's injury worse than expected, there is an opportunity for Lo Celso to get a regular run of games. Rodrigo Bentancur or Oliver Skipp could also get more minutes.

LW: Brennan Johnson - Was the sacrificial lamb on Monday night, having looked quite threatening before coming off in the 34th minute.

ST: Son Heung-min - May have nicked Tottenham a point had he found the corner with a late chance on Monday. Has played ten previous games against Wolves without scoring.
