Twitter reacts as the USMNT draws 1-1 vs Wales

The US men's national team kicked off their 2022 World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wales, as goals from Tim Weah and Gareth Bale earned each side one point.
After failing to qualify for the 2018 edition of the tournament, the USMNT wasted no time on the pitch this time around. Gregg Berhalter's side enjoyed 58 percent possession in the first half, working their way into Wales' half before opening up the scoring in the 36th minute. Tim Weah found Christian Pulisic's ball inside the box, rocketing it past goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey into the back of the net
It was a monumental goal for the United States, and Twitter reacted accordingly.

π₯ What a run and pass from Christian Pulisic and it really is a superb finish from Tim Weah. #USMNT deservedly lead against Wales, after one of the best 45 minute displays of the Gregg Berhalter era. Cohesive, slick, hungry and direct.#USA 1-0 #WAL pic.twitter.com/vXsCGjEs5y

And it worked. A foul by Walker Zimmerman on Gareth Bale inside the box saw Wales find the equalizer through a penalty.
Penalty Wales. No doubts.
