Twitter reacts as Manchester City are confirmed as Premier League champions

It took them long enough, but finally Manchester City have been confirmed as Premier League champions.
As was fitting for a season as bizarre as this one, the circumstances of their victory were pretty strange. In the end, Leicester City's 2-1 victory over Manchester United's C team was the clincher - not exactly the stuff dreams are made of.
That did not stop the club's (and 90min's) social media admins dumping all their carefully curated celebratory content, though...
We’ve got one take at this! Let’s go!

It did not take long for the first hot take to come either, courtesy of that famed bastion of footballing knowledge, Robbie Savage.
Speaking on BT Sport the former Leicester City, Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City midfielder claimed that the third title made Pep Guardiola the best Premier League manager in history.
Unsurprisingly, Savage's bold claims did not go unnoticed on Twitter.
“For me, Pep Guardiola's the best manager I’ve witnessed in the Premier League.” ?@RobbieSavage8 on the Man City boss! pic.twitter.com/FKPRvBggJ4

Can you imagine having to have a conversation with Robbie Savage on a regular basis.
— Sam (@__Crocked) May 11, 2021
Robbie Savage suggesting Pep a better manager than Ferguson?
— Jim (@Barcajim3) May 11, 2021
Mentioned what he did at Barcelona and Bayern.
Ferguson did "okay" at Aberdeen...
We had a decent squad at that time as did Dundee United and they managed to beat some mob from Madrid to win the CWC
Robbie Savage thoroughly humiliating himself here, is he ok?
— Gaz (@CantonaManc) May 11, 2021
Did Robbie Savage just say Pep is the greatest manager the prem has ever seen?? ??
— Jamie Ohara (@Mrjamieohara1) May 11, 2021
The debate did not stop there, of course. There was plenty more Pep vs anti-Pep discourse to go around and we do not envisage it stopping anytime soon.
Congratulations to the all conquering and big spending Manchester City on limping over the line to the Premier League title ?

Congratulations to Manchester City’s Abu Dhabi owners on another successful sports washing exercise.

Project ‘improve your countries tarnished image’ has benefited massively from the billions you’ve put into it.
Please keep away from those bullies at Old Trafford though.
Unbelievable from Pep Guardiola and Manchester City to win the Premier League despite United, Liverpool and even Spurs claiming they won it back in December/January

This is for me the biggest team creation in Pep's career
— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) May 11, 2021
Not the best team
Not the most successful
The BEST creation (covid time, no Agüero, not great start, demanding calendar, and more)
Congratulations, @PepTeam and @ManCity ???
Manchester City have won their third title in four seasons. That’s a remarkable achievement. Considering where they were in 2008 when the finger of fate pointed in their direction. pic.twitter.com/kczlO1PJGA
