It was all about Cristiano Ronaldo as Manchester United faced Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with fans eagerly awaiting the game days ahead of kick off.
It took United and Ronaldo until first-half stoppage time to break the deadlock but he delivered with a poacher’s goal. His second to restore the lead after Newcastle equalised was more typical of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and ultimately proved to be decisive.
Bruno Fernandes scored his fourth goal of the season with a contender for goal of the month, while Jesse Lingard made it 4-1 in the closing stage with a very nice team goal.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the game…
