Twitter reacts to lineups for final day of the Premier League season

We're here. We're finally here.
It's been the strangest season in living memory - thanks coronavirus - and the curtain is about to come down on the 2020/2021 campaign. Before that, we've got 10 games to get through.
Particularly this season, when hardly any games have been played simultaneously, lineup announcements have been pretty underwhelming. Not today, though. With 20 teams all revealing their XIs together, there was plenty of talking points for Twitter to get stuck into.
No Bamford, Fernandes, Greenwood, Aguero, Gundogan, Havertz or Bale in the starting line-ups

The biggest headline? Pep Guardiola's heartless omission of Sergio Aguero from the Manchester City team probably.
The club's record scorer is set to depart for Barcelona in the summer and even though City have nothing to play for, Pep did not fancy giving him a run-out from the start. Perhaps he's saving him for the Champions League?

BREAKING: Sergio Aguero is set to be brought on as a substitute in the 59th minute, the same time as he was brought on vs Swansea City (his debut)

Aguero's career at Man City began with a substitution and it will end with one... pic.twitter.com/DjiXIT5ZIW

Just before the game Guardiola set the record straight, revealing that Aguero was carrying a knock. Way to rain on our parade.
On the other side of Manchester, United were doing crazy stuff, picking a wonderfully eclectic line up ahead of their Europa League final next week. They even had a Fish on the bench...

Hopefully we see the Elanga that plays for the U23’s. Guy is handful. Rapid and has hell of a strike on him

West Ham fans, who stand on the brink of some European trips next season, were not as happy with their starting XI.
Mainly because Said Benrahma was not in it.

what Moyes is doing to benrahma is just unfair wtf https://t.co/mpU48OSF9j
— ْ (@mondeIisa) May 23, 2021
Cry me a river man. Bowen will work better against southamptons high line also defensively too. Youd know that if you werent so blinded by this myth that moyes hates benrahma. Blows my mind all this nonsense. https://t.co/QpEf2GhYFb
— The Honest Hammer (@HammerHonest) May 23, 2021
Must admit I’m not totally convinced about Benrahma but until he’s given a fair chance we won’t know how good he is,to see the best of him I think he needs to be given a free role and pushed forward
— Ray (@bonzoRay) May 23, 2021
Why is Benrahma on the bench ffs, and I’m meant to believe Moyes doesn’t have favourites ffs
— James Marshall (@Jamessmarshall) May 23, 2021
Benrahma is the type of player we need against teams like Southampton. Hopefully he gets at least half an hour, gutted he hasn't started.

Last but not least, Liverpool fans were split over Jurgen Klopp's selection. Rhys Williams' inclusion was the main bone of contention.

Rhys Williams & Phillips are going to be key again today. I hope the crowd being back encourages them and doesn’t put them off. #LIVCRY #LFC
— #UCL Here We Go! ? (@FaraiJulian) May 23, 2021
Great to see Jota and Henderson back on the bench, but hopefully we won't need either and they can go to the Euros injury-free. Same worries as per usual with Phillips/Williams, compounded even further with the quality of Zaha, Ayew and Townsend. #LFC

Final game of the season, fans back, Henderson and Jota back in the squad, Phillips and Williams gonna get a great reception, give thanks for Salah carrying us through a shit year and also Wijnaldum's possible last game for us... Please win, Reds ?#YNWA #LFC pic.twitter.com/y9ebWNwkS8
