Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has teased fans of a future partnership with Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe after liking a post on Instagram.
Mbappe has long been expected to play for Madrid at some point in his career, with the most obvious window of opportunity coming this summer when his contract at PSG expires.
Le Parisien and ESPN both reported last week Mbappe had made up his mind and will announce his intentions to sign for Madrid in the coming days.
90min previously reported Mbappe had agreed to tell PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision first and as soon as he had come to one but it is currently unclear if anything has been communicated yet. When Foot Mercato reported last month the Frenchman was heading to Los Blancos, both the player's camp and PSG quickly denied such a deal.
While there continues to be uncertainty over Mbappe's future, Vinicius has fanned the flames of a potential summer transfer on social media.
A post from Sneaker Shopping suggesting a link-up between Mbappe and Vinicius was on the way next season off the back of these recent reports was liked by the Brazilian.
Mbappe's proposed move to Madrid would technically be a free transfer, though 90min understands PSG are relaxed about the situation as they could make up to €80m in repaid loyalty bonuses if he departs this summer.
After deciding against triggering a one-year extension clause in his contract last summer, Mbappe has already paid €40m back to the club.
Furthermore, Mbappe is insistent on playing in the Olympics in France this summer, which would severely disrupt his pre-season campaign at whichever club he is at. Olympic football kicks off on July 24 and ends on August 10.
