Wes Foderingham has won the Castrol Save of the Month award for December 2023 thanks to his fantastic save to deny Mohamed Salah at Bramall Lane.
Foderingham has been the most active goalkeeper in the Premier League since Sheffield United's promotion to the top flight, making 89 stops so far during the 2023/24 season - eight more than any other goalkeeper in the division.
The pick of those 89 saves came in December, when the Blades goalkeeper demonstrated both razor-sharp instincts and reflexes to dive to his left and palm a venomous Mohamed Salah volley over the crossbar in the second half of the Premier League game.
This is the first time that Foderingham has won the coveted Castrol Save of the Month award, and the second time a newly-promoted team's goalkeeper has won it - with Thomas Kaminski getting the nod in November for a double save in a win over Crystal Palace.
Foderingham has won the Castrol Save of the Month ahead of Liverpool's Alisson Becker, Crystal Palace's Dean Henderson, Everton's Jordan Pickford, Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario and Chelsea's Dorde Petrovic.
