Wesley Fofana expected to be left out of Leicester squad against Southampton
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is expected to take on Southampton on Saturday without centre-back Wesley Fofana, as the Frenchman continues to push for a move to Chelsea.
Chelsea have had two bids rejected for Fofana, the latest of which was worth around £70m, as Leicester continue to hold out for a fee that will at least match the £85m world-record fee paid by Manchester United to sign Harry Maguire in 2019.
Sources close to the situation have confirmed that Fofana is growing frustrated with Leicester's stance and, amid all the uncertainty, 90min understands that Fofana will not be part of the matchday squad on Saturday.
Rodgers recently confirmed that he would be '100% prepared' to drop any player from his squad if he believed their mindset was detrimental to the team.
"We are not a team if the players are not committed to the club," Rodgers said on Thursday. "If they are not in the right mindset, that won't help us. We have to make sure everyone is focused."
90min has learned that Chelsea are preparing a third offer for Fofana but, despite the 21-year-old's frustration, Leicester are prepared to stick to their asking price for a player who still has five years remaining on his contract.

With the Blues looking to keep the price down, sources have indicated that Trevoh Chalobah could be included in the negotiations.
Chalobah is likely to be made available for loan if Chelsea can bring in Fofana and the idea of him taking the Frenchman's spot at Leicester has been discussed.
Blues owner Todd Boehly has used this strategy already this summer, sending exciting young defender Levi Colwill on loan to Brighton to aid the pursuit of Marc Cucurella. Colwill's loan does not include an option to buy.
