West Ham Battling Chelsea & Tottenham in Race for for Amiens Striker Serhou Guirassy

West Ham United are reportedly in talks to bring Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy to the club this summer for around €15m, but could face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham.

The French forward has thoroughly impressed this season, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances for Amiens. But the 24-year-old could be tempted by a move away from the club following their recent relegation - after the rest of the Ligue 1 campaign was cancelled, though the club are going to appeal the decision to send them down.

According to Le10 Sport, West Ham are ready to swoop in among the uncertainty and offer Guirassy a potential escape route this summer.

They report that the Hammers were interested in the attacker in the January transfer window, and are now in 'discussions' with Guirassy over a possible move to the London Stadium.

Despite signing Sebastien Haller for a £45m club-record fee last summer, he has endured a pretty mediocre first season in London, scoring just seven goals. Reports have even surfaced about the Irons being open to selling the former Frankfurt man already.

As a result, West Ham are in the market for reinforcements up front. They currently sat above the relegation zone on goal difference alone, having scored just 35 goals in 29 matches.

But acquiring the services of Guirassy will not be easy. Not only will West Ham have to be wary of the potential ramifications of the coronavirus on the transfer market, they may face competition from two Premier League rivals.

Chelsea and Tottenham have both been touted with a possible move for the forward this summer. Spurs have consistently struggled with injuries to star forward Harry Kane in recent campaigns, while the Blues could lose Olivier Giroud for free at the end of the season and have been in search of competition for Tammy Abraham.
