West Ham predicted lineup vs Chelsea - Premier League
West Ham will square off against Chelsea on Sunday as the Hammers look to strengthen their domestic push for European football next season.
The Hammers were left to rue a missed opportunity last weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium by Burnley, leaving David Moyes' side five points adrift of the Champions League places.
They also face the small matter of a Europa League semi-final first leg with Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek, which could certainly factor into Moyes' team selection at Stamford Bridge.
Here's how the Hammers could line up.
1. West Ham predicted lineup vs Chelsea (4-2-3-1)
Lukasz Fabianski (GK) - Has shaken off the 'Flappyhandski' moniker he was given at Arsenal to become one of the most dependable goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Vladimir Coufal (RB) - Struggled with injuries this season after a hugely promising debut campaign in east London.
Ben Johnson (CB) - Could be moved into the middle with Moyes counting the cost of an injury crisis in central defence ahead of Thursday.
Craig Dawson (CB) - Scored six headed goals for West Ham since his debut in December 2020, a tally bettered only by Diogo Jota and Kai Havertz in the league.
Aaron Cresswell (LB) - A specialist from dead-ball situations, which could be key at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Declan Rice (CM) - Likely to surpass the 4,000 minutes played barrier for club and country over the next few weeks.
Tomas Soucek (CM) - The goals have dried up for the Czech Republic international this season, although his tenacity in midfield has been vital for the Hammers.
Pablo Fornals (AM) - Rested for the 1-1 draw with Burnley last time out, and Moyes could look to offload Manuel Lanzini ahead of the visit of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jarrod Bowen (RW) - His strike against Lyon at the London Stadium earlier this month made him the first West Ham player to score ten home goals in a single season in all competitions since Marlon Harewood in 2005/06.
Michail Antonio (ST) - Without a league goal since New Year's Day, but it's certainly not for a lack of trying.
Nikola Vlasic (LW) - Yet to make an impact under Moyes, but he will be vital as West Ham aim to balance both their European and domestic ambitions.
