West Ham predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Carabao Cup
West Ham will look to progress in their Carabao Cup journey when they face rivals Tottenham in the quarter finals on Wednesday.
The Hammers had their weekend fixture against Norwich postponed due to positive Covid-19 test results, with their last outing coming in the 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.
David Moyes has a load of injury issues to contend with - especially in defence - meaning a rotated XI for this cup tie will likely be deployed.
Here's the side the Scotsman could field.
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Alphonse Areola (GK) - Has largely played second fiddle to Lukasz Fabianski but has featured in two Carabao Cup games this season.
Harrison Ashby (RB) - Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks are injured while Vladimir Coufal is suspended, meaning young Ashby may make his first start for West Ham here. Came on as a substitute against Arsenal.
Craig Dawson (CB) - An experienced head who can pop up with a goal every now and then. Has made ten Premier League starts this season.
Issa Diop (CB) - No longer first choice for the Irons but is getting a chance due to their injury issues. Most of his game time has come in the Europa League.
Arthur Masuaku (LB) - Scored a ridiculous winner against Chelsea earlier this month, a goal that sums Masuaku as a player pretty well.
2. Midfielders
Declan Rice (CM) - There might be the urge to rest Rice, but the England international would help his side control the midfield if he starts here.
Mark Noble (CM) - Should make his 538th Irons appearance on Wednesday. Gets most of his game time in Europe and cup competitions these days.
Manuel Lanzini (AM) - Has come back into West Ham's starting XI in recent weeks. Absolutely loves a strike against Tottenham.
3. Forwards
Nikola Vlasic (RW) - A good chance for Vlasic to make an impression. Attacking options up front have limited the Croatian's opportunities since his summer move. Looking for his first goal for the Hammers.
Michail Antonio (ST) - Scored the winner in West Ham's 1-0 victory against Spurs in October. Loves a goal against his side's London rivals.
Pablo Fornals (LW) - Started the season in fine fettle, though is without a goal since his strike against Liverpool in November.
