When is MLS All-Star Weekend 2024?

MLS All-Star Weekend 2024, featuring the best soccer players in North America, kicks off just one week after the 2024 Copa America final.

The top players in the MLS will face off against the top LIGA MX players at Lower.com Field, home to the Columbus Crew. After matching up against Arsenal last year, the MLS All-Stars now must meet the elite athletes in Mexico's premier soccer league.

MLS Executive Vice President of Properties and Events, Camilo Durana, spoke about the upcoming match, stating, "We’re excited to host Liga MX at the 2024 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, showcasing the global and rising stars of our leagues, and the strength of our sport in North America."

“Our previous encounters set high bars for intensity and competition in all-star games," he continued. "The 2024 edition will be a night to remember for Columbus’ passionate fans and for audiences around the world watching on MLS Season Pass.”

So, when exactly does the exciting event take place?

When is MLS All-Star Weekend 2024?

The MLS All-Star Weekend 2024 is actually not a weekend, but rather a mid-week affair. The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge is on Tuesday, July 23, and the MLS All-Star Game is set for Wednesday, July 24.

The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge pits 10 MLS stars against 10 LIGA MX stars in the following competitions:

• Shooting Challenge
• Touch Challenge
• Cross & Volley Challenge
• Passing Challenge
• Crossbar Challenge

Then, 24 hours later, the game will take place at 8 p.m. ET. Those not attending the game in person can only watch the match on Apple TV. If both sides are level after 90 minutes, then a penalty shootout will decide the winner.

Beyond soccer, the MLS All-Star festivities include everything from community service to player appearances. Marshmello and PinkPantheress are even performing at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH on Sunday, July 21, 2024 to kick off the festivities.
