The 2022/23 Premier League season made a mockery of the notion of an established 'Big Six'.

The financial might of the division's leading clubs led to the idea of a supreme six breaking away from the rest of the Premier League, and it was these six clubs that were initially a part of the European Super League in 2021 that was quickly dissolved off the back of fierce and ubiquitous fan protest.

The Premier League's hegemony was disrupted in 2022/23 by Newcastle's Saudi-backed project, a dazzling Brighton and Unai Emery's resurgent Aston Villa, all of whom will play in Europe next season after finishing in the top seven.

While four of the established 'Big Six' finished in the top five following Liverpool's recovery, Tottenham and Chelsea endured miserable seasons and will not be enjoying any continental ventures next term.

A fragmented aristocracy is healthy for the Premier League amid Man City's perpetual title success, but despite the ascension of middling clubs to impressive heights, contests against the league's 'Big Six' are what supporters look out for when flicking through next season's fixtures.

So, with Newcastle seemingly set to sit firmly among the league's top dogs for years to come, here's when each of the Premier League's top seven face off in 2023/24.

ALL THE KEY DATES FROM THE 2023/24 PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURE RELEASE

manual

Remember, guys, there's no format change to the 2023/24 Premier League. Everybody plays each other twice, home and away.

The first taste of top-seven action next season arrives on the opening weekend of the season as Chelsea host Liverpool in Mauricio Pochettino's first competitive game at the helm. That's followed by Man City hosting Newcastle and Man Utd travelling to Tottenham for Ange Postecoglou's home managerial debut the following week.

The first north London derby of the season arrives at the Emirates on 23 September, with Arsenal then hosting the champions two weeks later. Man Utd host the first Manchester derby on 28 October, with the reverse fixture pencilled in for 2 March.

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham reunion has been booked in for 4 November, while Liverpool, without question, have the trickiest festive schedule among the top seven. The Reds host Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle between 16 and 30 December.

However, that stretch is incomparable to Tottenham's season conclusion. In April and May, Spurs visit Newcastle, host Man City and Arsenal, and travel to Anfield over a four-week stretch. Arsenal, meanwhile, face Tottenham and Man Utd in their final two away games of the season after visiting the Etihad on 30 March.
