Copa America returns this summer and it's back bigger and better than ever.
Just as it was in 2016, South America's most prestigious international soccer event will be held in the United States. Along with Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, and Jamaica, the USMNT will join the 10 usual CONMEBOL teams as representatives from the CONCACAF region.
That means more games, more goals, and more drama.
It's not long until the action gets underway, so here's everything you need to know about the tournament.
When and where is the 2024 Copa America?
The United States will host this the 2024 Copa America in what will be a great test of facilities ahead of co-hosting the 2026 World Cup alongside Mexico and Canada. The US won the right to host ahead of Peru after original hosts Ecuador stepped aside.
The tournament begins on June 20 and will run through July 14, with 32 matches taking place in total across the group and knockout stages combined.
How can I watch the 2024 Copa America live on TV?
US audiences can watch the 2024 Copa America live on a couple of stations, with Fox Sports having the English language broadcasting rights. TUDN and Univision both own the Spanish broadcast rights for the tournament.
2024 Copa America qualifying
Usually, there is no qualifying cycle for Copa America, with the 10 CONMEBOL teams automatically entering into the tournament, while the only other additional nations taking part do so on an invitational basis.
However, this summer's edition sees six nations from the CONCACAF region entering the tournament, earning the right through a rigorous qualification process. Even as hosts, the United States had to follow this process.
The CONCACAF Nations League A group phase was used in the qualifying process. The United States, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica received byes through this section thanks to their CONCACAF ranking.
In Group A, Panama and Trinidad and Tobago made it to the quarterfinals, with Martinique and Guatemala exiting, and Curacao and El Salvador suffering Nations League relegation. And in Group B, it was Jamaica and Honduras making it to the knockouts, with Suriname and Cuba going out, and Haiti and Grenada relegated.
Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, and the United States all made it through the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals and, in the process, to Copa America. That left Canada, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Trinidad and Tobago to battle it out in two playoff matches -- Costa Rica beating Honduras 3-1 to book their sixth Copa America visit, while Canada will make their tournament debut after seeing off Trinidad and Tobago 2-0.

Where will the 2024 Copa America semifinals be held?
The Copa America semifinals will take place on July 9 and 10, with both matches kicking off at 8pm EDT.
MetLife Stadium will host the first semifinal, with Argentina vs Mexico the most likely matchup here.
Meanwhile, the second semifinal will come a day later at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, where we could see the USMNT go up against Brazil.
Where will the 2024 Copa America final be held?
The 2024 Copa America final is slated for Sunday, July 14, kicking off at 8pm EDT.
Back in 2016 -- name the Copa America Centenario to celebrate 100 years of the tournament -- it was MetLife Stadium that hosted the final, won on penalties by Chile after a 0-0 tie with Argentina.
MetLife is once again a host stadium but the final will not be held here again. That honor goes to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Thanks to the way the draw has panned out, that gives us the mouthwatering prospect of Inter Miami's Lionel Messi and his Argentina teammates -- who are defending champions -- coming up against the USMNT, played in Messi's backyard.
