Marcus Rashford has not been named in Manchester United's matchday squad for Saturday's Premier League clash at Fulham.
The Red Devils are looking to bounce back from successive 3-0 defeats at home to Manchester City and Newcastle United over the last week. Erik ten Hag's side have now been beaten in eight of their opening 15 matches this season.
United will have to soldier on without star forward Rashford however, with the club claiming he sustained a heavy knock in training.
In a statement, United said: "Rashford travelled with the rest of the team but the Mancunian forward will not be involved in west London, due to injury.
"Marcus took a heavy knock to his leg in training and was unable to finish the last session before the game.
"The England international underwent a fitness test this morning, when it was decided he was unable to play."
Speaking to TNT Sports pre-match, Ten Hag confirmed Rashford was in line to start at Craven Cottage.
In Rashford's place, Alejandro Garnacho will start on the left wing, while Ten Hag has also opted to keep Raphael Varane and Mason Mount on the bench.
Aat his pre-match press conference, Ten Hag criticised Rashford for going to a nightclub until the early hours in the aftermath of last Sunday's humbling defeat to City.
The Dutchman did, however, defend the 26-year-old from criticism suggesting he is unmotivated at United after signing a new long-term contract over the summer. Rashford has scored only once in 14 games for the Red Devils so far this season after registering a career-high 30 last term.
Man Utd XI to face Fulham (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Evans, Dalot; McTominay, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho, Hojlund.
