Will EA Sports FC 25 be on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?

EA Sports FC 25 was officially revealed July 17, but don't fret old-gen players the game is still coming to PlayStation 4.
As the newest age of consoles continues, players still on older platforms have to worry about newer games not being released on previous generations. Thankfully, for PlayStation 4 players, EA Sports isn't making that leap yet. EA Sports FC 25 is confirmed to be releasing on PlayStation 4 later this year when it launches on Sept. 27.
And, as to be expected with most sports video game franchises, Dual Entitlement is included at no additional cost.
What is EA Sports FC 25 Dual Entitlement?
"Dual Entitlement means you can upgrade your copy of EA SPORTS FC™ 25 from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S at no additional cost. Simply put, it gives you access to the game on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S," EA Sports says on the FC 25 website.
How to upgrade EA Sports FC 25 with Dual Entitlement
"If you buy EA SPORTS FC™ 25 and start playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you’ll be able to upgrade your copy once you have the corresponding next generation console (PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S) by downloading it to your new console," EA Sports explains.
You can only upgrade your copy of FC 25 in the same console family. If players upgrade from PlayStation 4 to Xbox Series X|S, they will have to purchase a new copy. Staying in either console family won't require an additional cost.
As well, players don't have to worry about whether their copy is digital or physical. Dual Entitlement works for both mediums. EA Sports does note that consumers should make sure their physical copy isn't PS5 only.
Players can go back and forth as well between console versions.
Does my FC 25 progress carry over with Dual Entitlement?
Yes, all progress will carry over if you upgrade from a previous console generation to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S as long as you are in the same console family. All pre-order content will transfer over as well.
