William Saliba: 'Arsenal cannot be satisfied with Man City draw'
- Arsenal held on to a 0-0 draw at the Etihad on Sunday
- Manchester City were unable to return to the top of the Premier League table
- Saliba says the team 'cannot be satisfied' with the result
Arsenal centre-back William Saliba believes the team "cannot be satisfied" with a goalless draw against Manchester City, as the Gunners push on to win the Premier League title.
Saliba's side were able to finally earn a positive result at the Etihad Stadium after taking a point from a 0-0 draw against City. The draw leaves Arsenal just two points behind Liverpool at the top of the table, while City sit behind in third place.
But Saliba, who proved to be key to containing City, says the team should be achieving more.
"No we cannot be satisfied when we draw, but it is OK," he said. "We learn from some games when we we cannot win, we don't have to lose. That's why we did well. So yeah, we leave with one point but we are not satisfied.
"I think it's more in our head, because we know it's the best team in the world, Manchester City. So we have to be focused on the game.
"And we did well, we didn't concede but we didn't score as well. But yeah, we are happy. That's it."
Saliba received praise after his stellar performance but he was quick to commend the skill of teammate Gabriel, who worked to dominate Erling Haaland.
He said: "I'm good because Gabriel is good. He helped me a lot. Not only him, it's all the team, when we lose the ball everyone running back. So I think we all defended well and that's good. We have to keep going like this."
Arsenal will continue to fight for Premier League silverware, but will first need to knock down current leaders Liverpool. They return to action on Wednesday when they face Luton, before travelling to Brighton on Saturday.
