Sixth-placed Wolves host Crystal Palace on Monday night, with the home side in desperate need of a win to keep their Europa League hopes alive.

Wolves were dealt a late but damning blow to their already slim Champions League hopes last time out when a 96th minute Burnley penalty snatched two points from them at the death. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace continued a six-game losing run with defeat at home to Manchester United.

Wolves are without any new injuries, with Pedro Neto fit enough to come on for a 12-minute cameo in midweek.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were able to recall Jeffrey Schlupp to the side for the game against Man Utd, his first appearance since December. Palace will be without Patrick van Aanholt after he dislocated his shoulder against United, while Gary Cahill and James Tomkins (both hamstring) miss out. Christian Benteke is still suspended.

Recent Form

Wolves have been on an indifferent run of form recently, their controversial 1-1 draw against Burnley, preceded by a 3-0 victory over Everton - and two defeats before that.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are on a dreadful run, having made it six defeats in a row with their loss to United in midweek. Roy Hodgson insisted that he was pleased with his side's performance, but their lack of any clear motivation – safe from relegation and with no chance of European football – may play against them.

Here's how the two teams have fared in their last five outings.

Wolves

Burnley 1-1 Wolves (15/07)
Wolves 3-0 Everton (12/07)
Sheffield United 1-0 Wolves (08/07)
Wolves 0-2 Arsenal (04/07)
Aston Villa 0-1 Wolves (27/06)

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace 0-2 Man Utd (16/07)
Aston Villa 2-0 Crystal Palace (12/07)
Crystal Palace 2-3 Chelsea (07/07)
Leicester City 3-0 Crystal Palace (04/07)
Crystal Palace 0-1 Burnley (29/06)

Prediction

Wolves should win this game. It's as simple as that. Crystal Palace are in free-fall, and the Midlands side have looked dangerous in almost every game they've played since the restart.

Prediction: Wolves 3-1 Crystal Palace
