Two defeats in a row have seen Wolves slip out of top four contention in the Premier League as they prepare to welcome Crystal Palace to Molineux.

Bruno Lage's side tumbled down to 8th in the league after they were downed by a Tomas Soucek strike in their 1-0 defeat to West Ham last time out.

They will face a Crystal Palace side who have won just once in their last five league outings, although they sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 success over Stoke in midweek.

Wolves are looking particularly healthy on the injury front following the return of long-term absentees Pedro Neto and Jonny.

However, Lage will be without Nelson Semedo after he was forced off in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last midweek with a hamstring injury. Ki-Jana Hoever got the nod last time out and will battle Jonny for the role.

Patrick Vieira could welcome back Joel Ward after the 32-year-old has been missing with a groin injury in recent weeks.

Palace will otherwise have a near-full complement of players to choose from, with Nathan Ferguson - whose only involvement this season was an eight-minute cameo against Tottenham in December - the only absence for Vieira.

Palace ran out 2-0 winners at Selhurst Park through goals from Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher in the reverse fixture between these sides earlier this season.

However, home advantage has tended to dictate meetings between these two teams in recent years, with Wolves having won their last three straight games at Molineux against the Eagles.

In fact, Wolves have not conceded to Crystal Palace at Molineux since January 2019 and they will be keen to maintain their strong home form this campaign.

Only three teams in the divison have posted a lower xG than Wolves in the Premier League this term and it's been the lack of goals from Lage's side which has been their undoing in recent weeks.

The problem at Crystal Palace, meanwhile, has been converting their chances after Vieira ripped up the counter-attack heavy blueprint from the Roy Hodgson era.

Palace are under no real threat of relegation this season and so, coupled with Wolves' European ambitions, it could be an afternoon where the home side edge it.

Prediction: Wolves 1-0 Crystal Palace
