The 2023 Women's World Cup is now well underway and some teams are already booking their place in the round of 16, as well as being knocked out of the tournament altogether.

For those watching in Europe, Saturday's games represent a better chance to catch more of the action as the kick-off times are a bit more favourable and most won't be at work, so it is a day to get settled in front of the television.

Some great teams are going to be in action, such as Sweden, Brazil and France. The latter two are facing each other in what is one of the headline games of the group stage.

Here is all that you need to know about the three games taking place at the Women's World Cup on Saturday.

Sweden vs Italy - Group G

  • Location: Wellington, New Zealand
  • Stadium: Wellington Regional Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 29 July
  • Kick-off Time: 08:30 BST / 03:30 EST / 00:30 PST
  • Referee: Cheryl Foster (WAL)

This is a massive game in Group G because both Sweden and Italy won their opening match of the group stage. Additionally, Argentina and South Africa drew 2-2 on Friday which means they are both left on just one point with a game to play. The winner of this game will be guaranteed a place in the round of 16.

This will be a tough test for Italy and Sweden are certainly the favourites to win the game. They have more to offer than what they showed against South Africa, while Italy still seem very unsure on what their best 11 is and a formation change is likely from the Argentina game.

  • Location: Brisbane, Australia
  • Stadium: Brisbane Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 29 July
  • Kick-off Time: 11:00 BST / 06:00 EST / 03:00 PST
  • Referee: Kate Jacewicz (AUS)

This is one of the games that was immediately cite as being potentially one of the best of the group stage. France and Brazil are both contenders to win the tournament, but only one of them can finish top of Group F.

Brazil are in the driving seat because they beat Panama 4-0 in their opening game of the World Cup, while France were held to a surprising 0-0 draw by Jamaica. This French side has a point to prove in more ways than one and they will need to attack Brazil straight from the first whistle. They must win if they are to top the group.

Panama vs Jamaica - Group F

  • Location: Perth, Australia
  • Stadium: Perth Rectangular Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 29 July
  • Kick-off Time: 13:30 BST / 08:30 EST / 05:30 PST
  • Referee: Kateryna Monzul (UKR)

The other game in Group F sees two sides that, realistically, are battling to not finish at the bottom of the group. It would take something really special to finish ahead of either France or Brazil, although Jamaica could end up ahead of France by the end of Saturday's action.

That would really put a lot of strain on France before their match against Panama, so most of the eyes will be on Jamaica during this match.
