A pre-UEFA Women's Euro 2022 roadshow taking in 10 different locations across England will begin in May as excitement builds for the tournament this summer.

Euro 2022 kicks off at Old Trafford on 6 July, before concluding at Wembley at the end of the month. All of England's group matches, plus the final and a few other games, have already sold out, with the tournament poised to break a selection of attendance records.

In the build up to the festivities, Euro 2022 organisers have announced plans for a free, national roadshow, taking in 10 locations across 43 days between 21 May and 2 July.

The 10 stops correspond with the tournament's nine host cities. The tour will also stop at Elland Road ahead of England's friendly against the Netherlands on 24 June.

Each stop on the tour will feature the European Championship trophy, music from local artists, interactive football challenges and a TV studio where attendees can try their hand at presenting and interviewing.

"UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 is going to be massive, unlike anything we’ve ever seen before so it’s fantastic to see opportunities for everyone to get involved and show their support," said former England captain Faye White.

"The roadshows are a fun way for families to try new skills, learn about the tournament and experience the women’s game at the very highest level.”

The tour is all part of the Euro 2022's drive to create a lasting legacy for women's football.

"The Uefa Women’s Euro 2022 Roadshow is a huge part of our commitment in ensuring that everyone can feel connected to this special tournament," added Euro 2022 tournament director Chris Bryant.

"We want to appeal to everyone, whether that be your regular football fan, or someone that has never given it a go before! Each Roadshow event will offer a chance to learn about the tournament in a fun environment, whilst trying out a few different skills from playing to presenting and with live music thrown it, they promise to be a great free day out for all the family.”
