The Women's European Championships officially began in 1984, following two unsanctioned tournaments in 1969 and 1979.

The early renditions consisted of just four teams and took place every two years, before the four-year cycle came into play in 1997.

The competition has played host to some stalwarts of the women's game down the years, who have consistently graced the Euros tournament after tournament.

Let's take a look at who boasts the most appearances in Women's Euros history.
