WSL goals of the week: gameweek 18

Supporters were treated to 16 goals across four WSL fixtures in gameweek 18 - with the majority coming at the King Power during Chelsea's convincing victory over Leicester.

From well worked team goals to fabulous free kicks, there were some goals of real quality across the matches.

7. Aileen Whelan - West Ham 0-2 Brighton

Brighton opened the scoring during their 2-0 win over West Ham with a superb team goal.

Ellie Brazil fed Inessa Kaagman, who intelligently laid the ball into the path of Aileen Whelan for the midfielder to calmly stroke home.

6. Ramona Petzelberger - Aston Villa 1-1 Reading

Ramona Petzelberger rescued a point for Villa against Reading on Saturday with a powerful header 14 minutes from time - and her equaliser was all about the build up play from Carla Ward's side.

Aleisha Lehman produced a fabulous piece of skill to spin two Reading defenders, before sending Laura Blindkilde scurrying away. The teenager dug out a hanging back post cross, which Petzelberger powered home.

5. Alessia Russo - Manchester United 3-1 Everton

Childhood Manchester United fan Alessia Russo had an absolute time of it at Old Trafford, bagging a brace in United's 3-1 win over Everton. The forward's first was particularly special, levelling the scores with a smart header to cap off a patient team move.

Ona Batlle and Jackie Groenen combined down the United right, the former hanging up an inviting delivery for Russo to loop back into the corner of the net.

4. Claire Emslie - Manchester United 3-1 Everton

Everton attempted to ruin Manchester United's Old Trafford party with a goal inside five minutes - and what a well taken goal it was too.

Claire Emslie latched onto Kenza Dali's clever through ball and only had one thing on her mind. The former Manchester City winger charged towards goal and found the bottom corner with a low, pinpoint drive.

3. Beth England - Leicester 0-9 Chelsea

Beth England netted a brace against Leicester as Chelsea ran riot; and her first was the pick of the bunch.

The England forward combined with Sam Kerr - winning the initial header - before emphatically lashing the ball into the top corner.

2. Jessie Fleming - Leicester 0-9 Chelsea

Everything about Chelsea's ninth goal against Leicester was special; from the intricate build up play to Jessie Fleming's finish.

The Canadian midfielder was teed up by a sumptuous Drew Spence back heel, and found the back of the net with a delightful strike with the outside of her foot.

1. Guro Reiten - Leicester 0-9 Chelsea

Guro Reiten was in irresistible form for Chelsea during the Blues' rout over Leicester, and opened the scoring with a stunning free kick.

Having won the set piece herself, the Norway international was given the nod by regular free kick taker Ji So-yun, and sent the ball flying into the top corner off the underside of the bar.
